If you belong to an organization, such as a school or health center, and want to organize a Latin dance activity for your students, members, or staff, consider hiring the Latin dance experts at Mundo Latino UK for a tailored dance experience. Whether you’re interested in a six-week course or a lively day of dance classes, we offer services to meet your needs. It’s social, it’s exercise, it’s fun, and by the end of your event or course, you’ll truly feel accomplished. Our classes are laid-back and focus equally on enjoyment and learning the dance.
Courses
Typically lasting 6 to 8 weeks and designed for complete beginners, our courses aim to help you understand the significance of your chosen dance, its origins, and the exhilarating traditional music that accompanies it. We guide you through the essential footwork, helping you master patterns, timing, body isolation, and partnering techniques. At the conclusion of each course, we host a social practice for all the newly minted Latin dancers.
Examples of courses include: Sony, BP, BUPA, and Velocity Sports Club.
Schools
We offer classes ranging from one hour to an entire school day for children aged 5 and up. At Mundo Latino UK, we understand that teaching the younger generation requires a different approach than teaching adults. Therefore, a typical class includes:
- A 5 to 10-minute introduction to your chosen dance, followed by an engaging Q&A session.
- A 5-minute warm-up to a traditional song.
- 40 minutes dedicated to learning steps that will culminate in a short routine set to music.
- A 10-minute presentation on traditional musical instruments, including the maracas and clave, which the children can freely explore.
Examples of schools we’ve worked with include: East Sheen Primary School, American Community School – Virginia Water, and St. Thomas More Language College – Chelsea.
